TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CAROLINE LEROUX – ANIMAL COMMUNICATION
- SCOPE
1.1 The present Terms and Conditions (the “Conditions”) are intended to provide a legal framework for the modalities of service provision regarding the communication-animal.net website. The present Conditions constitute a service contract between me, the Service Provider, and you, the Customer.
1.2 These Conditions apply to all Service reservations and all Services. By reserving a Service, you agree to these Conditions.
1.3 I value my customers and consider my approach to the privacy of the information you provide to me as an important aspect of our relationship. My Code of Ethics governs the collection and use of information via my website. By providing personally identifiable information as part of your reservation, you consent to the processing of this information in order to fulfill your reservation in accordance with my Code of Ethics. This document is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions, of which it forms an integral part. To view the Code of Ethics, please click here.
1.4 You are bound by the Conditions which are in force at the date of each Service reservation. These Conditions may change from time to time and it is your responsibility to review and accept them before each reservation, even if you have already read them in the past.
1.5 You declare that you have read and accepted the Conditions prior to reserving the Services.
- RESERVATION ACCEPTANCE
2.1 The Services listed on the reservation (APPOINTMENT) page are offered subject to the availability of the Services to which they refer. They may be withdrawn or modified at any time.
2.2 A reservation sent constitutes an offer to reserve the Services at the price stipulated in the reservation. Any reservation confirmation email received by you is simply an acknowledgement of receipt of your offer to reserve the Services.
2.3 Acceptance of your reservation will only occur once payment for the Services of your reservation has been received (the “Acceptance”). It is therefore possible that your reservation may be cancelled at any time prior to the Acceptance.
2.4 If you fail to pay any invoice by the due date indicated or if you commit a breach of these Conditions, or if it is impossible to process your payment, the current reservation will consequently be interrupted or suspended.
PRICES AND TERMS
3.1 The prices of the Services are indicated in Canadian dollars, to which must be added the applicable taxes in the Province of Quebec (Canada). The prices of the Services are subject to change without notice. The prices of the Services are those in effect at the time of Acceptance. Prices may be indicated on the reservation page and/or on the page of the different Services, but in case of a difference, the authoritative price is the one indicated on the page of the reserved Service.
3.2 Payment for the Services is made by Square or by Interac transfer to the following address: commanimale@gmail.com. The question to be indicated is “Communication” and the answer is “animale”. Full payment for the reserved Services is required before the Services are provided.
REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
4.1 In the event of a refund request, you must contact me as stipulated in Article 8 hereof.
4.2 If a Service is cancelled more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the Service being provided, the full amount of the Service will be refunded. If a Service is cancelled less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the Service being provided, fifty percent (50%) of the amount billed will be refunded. In the event of cancellation of a Service without notice from you, no refund will be granted.
4.3 If the Service is cancelled by the Service Provider, the full amount of the Service will be refunded.
4.4 Refunds will be made by Interac transfer. Please allow up to two (2) weeks for the refund to appear on your bank statement.
GENERAL TERMS AND CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
5.1 You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any part of the Service, or use of or access to the Service, through which the Service is provided.
5.2 You agree to provide me with all the necessary information for the proper Services execution. Notably, you agree to provide me with a photo of your pet and to indicate their information, such as their name, age and gender.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY LIMITATION
6.1 In no event do I warrant or represent that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
6.2 You acknowledge that from time to time, certain offered Services may be removed from my website for indefinite periods or cancelled at any time without notice or delay.
6.3 The Services are provided to you without representation or warranty, express or implied.
6.4 Under no circumstances shall I be liable for any losses, claims, or direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind arising from the provision of any Services, or for any other claims in any way connected with the provision of the Services. My liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6.5 My motivation is to help animals and their keepers understand each other better. I wish to promote animal welfare and the well-being of those around them through animal communication. By sharing animal communication results, I help their keepers better understand their pets.
6.6 Nevertheless, you understand that animal communication is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment at any time. I can, for example, transmit the emotions experienced by your animal, tell you how they feel, what they aspire to, what they like or dislike, as well as communicate with them. I can also tell you about any misunderstandings or difficulties your pet may be experiencing. I convey this information in the way I perceive it.
6.7 The Services offered do not in any way substitute the treatments, prescriptions or any other recommendations or follow up by a veterinarian. Under no circumstances do I provide a diagnosis or issue a prescription.
7. CONFIDENTIALITY
7.1 I may keep the received reservation and acknowledgement of receipt for a reasonable period of time. It is your responsibility to print these Conditions and keep them in your personal archive.
7.2 I commit to keeping all of my customers’ confidential information in strict confidence, to protect the latter from disclosure and to take all necessary steps to protect it from such disclosure. I will only use confidential information in connection with the provision of the reserved Service.
7.3 You understand that I reserve the right to publish received testimonials for the purpose of promoting my services or for any other use. You authorize me to use any photo received of your animal. If you do not wish your pet or your testimonial to appear on my website, or if you wish your name or that of your pet to remain confidential, you must notify me in writing in accordance with section 8 hereof.

LAW IN FORCE AND DOMICILE ELECTION
9.1 The website, the Terms and Conditions for Services provision, the Service reservation and this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada, regardless of your place of residence. Any dispute resulting from or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec. You agree that any complaint or dispute that may arise between us must be resolved exclusively by a court of the Beauharnois judicial district.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
10.1 The present constitutes the entire agreement between us with respect to the provided Services, and supersedes any prior communications, agreements and representations or writings that may be related thereto.
10.2 If, for any reason whatsoever, a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of these Conditions to be invalid, unenforceable or void under applicable law, the remaining provisions hereof shall remain in full force and effect, valid and binding.
